Lemons..So what’s the big deal?!
TO START they offer several health benefits
A few include treatment of indigestion, constipation, throat infections, fever reducer,burns, high blood pressure, just to name a few. Besides health benefits they have therapeutic property that help strengthen your immune system.
Fresh squeezed lemon juice has numerous health benefits and has been known for treatments associated with kidney stones, reducing strokes, and lowering body temperature.
The health benefits of lemon are due to its many nourishing vitamin C, vitamin A, Vitamin E, Vitamin B6, Folate, Niacin, Thiamin, Pantothenic Acid, Zinc, Magnesium, Riboflavin, Calcium, Copper, Iron, Potassium, Protein, and Phosphorus.
Lemons contain flavonoids which is why they are known for the antioxidant and cancer fighting properties. In addition to aiding or helping to prevent constipation, diabetes, high blood pressure indigestion, and has been known to improve hair, skin and teeth.
People have also use lemon for skin scrubs, washing agent, because of its ability to remove stains. Not to mention lemons are a must when going camping the scent of lemons can also repel mosquitoes!
So it is for this reason I take as many opportunities to cook, zest, and drink with lemons.
